Researches at Dartmouth University attended track of a different software algorithm that may analyze a photograph and see how Photoshopped it truly is. This might have implications for police force but I'm not sure how photographic evidence gets handled today when a person with some decent 'shopping skills can fiddle using a digital image for their family computer.
